2.
PRESCRIBE UNTIL DIAGNOSIS
Prescribe as 30-day Event Monitor or as a long-term Remote Patient Monitor (RPM) as long as medically necessary. Wireless and adhesive-free design improves patient compliance. No waiting for results with on demand ECG reports.
The non-invasive long-term cardiac monitor
The Coala Heart Monitor is an ideal complement to retrospective ECG patches that have limits in time and use. The technology is based on state-of-the-art 1,000 Hz and 24-bit ECG digital architecture with high-resolution data analyzed by a cloud-based platform.
The HIPAA-compliant and ISO 27001 certified Coala Care portal presents data in real-time to providers and includes a smart report generator with ability to manually annotate and download raw data for further analysis. Today, more than 350 clinics and in excess of 1,000 physicians are connected to the Coala Care portal.

Coala Connect Rx direct-to-patient
Now available on virtual prescription direct to patient
The Coala Heart Monitor is now offered as a direct-to-patient prescription across the US. Simply complete form below be connected with a cardiologist.
A brief telemedicine visit will be scheduled and if you are eligible, a Coala will be prescribed and shipped directly to you. Covered by most payors.
Nationwide coverage without surprises for patient
The COALA is covered by several CPT-codes from 30 days up to 12 months of use. Patients only pay a minor co-pay and unlike many other cardiac monitors, they will never receive any separate bills for technical interpretation.
Patients who use COALA love the experience, ease and comfort of immediate response. It’s often prescribed to patients with palpitations, who might have been alarmed by their consumer monitors, or for long term monitoring in daily life. For more information on modalities of use, see here.

Proven to reduce symptoms from palpitations
The COALA was used in the RedHeart Study by the Karolinska Institute (Stockholm, Sweden) and included nearly 1,000 women and over 200,000 ECG recordings in everyday life. The COALA was used over 60 days and the study showed an increase in quality of life in women with palpitations, because of the instant results that helped reduce symptoms, anxiety and depression
The Coala was used in the pivotal TEASE-study to monitor cryptogenic stroke patients from home, as was shown to be a cost-effective and patient-centered alternative to insertable cardiac monitors. The patient reported feasibility and satisfaction was very high.
The only smartphone ECG with P-wave based AF detection
The COALA is a CE and FDA 510(k) cleared system supported by strong clinical data. The high-fidelity 2-lead system captures chest-ECG synchronized with heart sound recordings and thumb-ECG to maximize quality, precision and accuracy - with less artifacts and minimized false positives.
Smart algorithms analyze in real-time for 9 of the most common arrhythmias. AF is detected by P-waves and RR variability. Conventional 1-lead ECGs typically only detect AF based on RR variability, leading to high false positives. The COALA has been proven to be 300% more accurate than standard 1-lead ECG solutions, typically used in watches and other portable ECG’s.

Remote
lung auscultation
The COALA can also be used for remote monitoring of lung sounds from a patient’s home. The unique stethoscope and respiratory monitoring solution is available with support of FDA’s Emergency Guidance during the COVID-19 public health emergency.
Easy to enroll patient’s directly from their homes, eliminating the need of physical visits. Data is transmitted in real-time, making COALA ideal for Telemedicine use.
The cardiology RPM platform
COALA and the Coala Care portal create an ideal Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) platform. Full suite of functionality including on-demand reports and timers. The COALA App can also be used to collect concurrent Blood Pressure and weight data.
Successful RPM programs require good patient compliance. The COALA has been proven in studies to have high patient compliance and satisfaction over longer periods of time.

Bill under the Event or RPM codes
The COALA is a unique 2-in-1 solution that can be prescribed as an Event Monitor (billed globally as CPT 93268) and/or used to follow patients long-term in RPM programs and billed monthly (CPT 99453, 99454, 99457 and 99458).
The COALA is available for Home Enrollment, where it’s shipped direct to the patient enabling virtual cardiac diagnostics and eliminating physical patient visits.
